Airlift Wing: Showtime for Civic Leaders
It's
difficult to try and put in words just how blessed all of
us at Power/Balance feel to have been invited to spend two
days on the First Lady's aircraft with our country's finest
servicemen and women. Every year, the United States Air Force
chooses fifty top civic leaders from around the country who
get the opportunity to travel on Presidential Aircraft from
Chicago to Cape Canaveral and then up to Wright-Patterson
Airforce Base in Dayton, Ohio before returning to Chicago.
Thankfully, they chose seven Power/Balance team members to
be included in that fifty! At each stop we were able to tour
civilian-restricted areas and see firsthand just some of the
countless sacrifices our men and women in uniform make for
us on a daily basis.
From all of us here at Power/Balance, we would like to extend
our most heartfelt thank-you to all of our nation's warriors
who risk life and limb everyday so that we might live freely
in the greatest country God ever gave man. We would especially
like to thank the group at 4th Air Force and March Air Reserve
Base for a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we will not
soon forget. And to any of you out there who may employ reserve
soldiers, thank you for making the sacrifice of giving up
your invaluable people to allow them to serve us and continue
to make our country great.
No matter what your political leanings or your feelings about
our government's decision making at home and abroad, in this
time of war and peril throughout the world, it is imperative
that we as Americans stand behind our soldiers and never forget
to tell them, "Thank you."
You're
always in our prayers,
Team
Power / Balance
